Sean Martin, On What He Sees (as a Christian) on the PGA Tour

The Monday feature of the Worldly Saints blog focuses on a story from the sports world – current or historic. The goal is one of the following: (1) either to recognize athletes who are using or have used their sports and athletic abilities to further the kingdom of God or (2) to show how some athletes or teams are wasting or did waste their days by not giving God the glory or (3) to simply reflect on a story from the sports world from a Christian perspective.

You have probably never heard of Sean Martin, who is the Events Editor of PGATOUR.COM. I never had until a few weeks ago. Sean is a professing Christian who has a first-hand look at the athletes who are professional golfers. He was interviewed recently by Bethany L. Jenkins of The Gospel Coalition about his job, the brokenness he sees on the PGA Tour, the opportunities for Christian fellowship, and the encouraging Christian testimonies of some of the players.

If you are a Christian who likes, golf I would encourage you to read this article. And thank the Lord for men like Sean who are a light for him in a dark place.
