Friends Headed to the National PGA Jr. Tournament!

The Monday feature of the Worldly Saints blog focuses on a story from the sports world – current or historic. The point is to recognize athletes who are using their sports and athletic abilities to further the kingdom of God or to show how some athletes or teams are wasting their days by not giving God the glory.

Some friends of mine just won the Regionals of the PGA Jr. League. Jenni Roller and JohnMark Roller are both young kids near the ages of my two oldest boys – Jackson (10) and Josiah (8). They were here in Wichita a few weekends ago competing in this same tournament and won that one. Now, they have won Regionals. Their parents are devout Christians we have known for a long time that live in the Tulsa area.

And now they are headed to the National tournament in Orlando, where they will be competing against 8 teams from around the country! How cool!

To watch and hear more about these young people, I have included the link to the news story. Below. Jenni – the only girl on her team – is the one you will see first in the news feature.
