The Thursday feature of the Worldly Saints blog will be sharing of a media clip (audio or video) that has either educated, equipped, provoked or entertained us in some way.
I did not get the opportunity to attend the Strange Fire Conference in 2013 at Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, CA. I have viewed the conference, read the book and am now reading Michael Brown’s response to the conference and MacArthur’s book on the subject. Brown’s book is called Authentic Fire.
One of my favorite half-hours of the conference is the below video of Joni Eareckson Tada. Tada’s story is this: she became a quadriplegic in 1967 at the age of 18 due to a diving accident. She has used her disability in an area of ministry that many of us neglect: those who special needs. She was asked to speak at the Strange Fire Conference.
She is on my short list of people I would like to be near in heaven when the worship in music begins.
