The Thursday feature of the Worldly Saints blog will be sharing of a media clip (audio or video) that has either educated, equipped, provoked or entertained us in some way.
One of the most under-rated gifts that John MacArthur possesses is his ability to participate and utilize the Q/A (questions and answers) format of conferences, Sunday night services, etc. I have no idea how many questions he has been asked in such a venue, but when I attended The Master’s College and Seminary, I always looked forward to them. He has a remarkable ability to be both exhaustive in his answering of random biblical questions but also simple enough that a child can understand.
Below is a sample of such a Q/A time. This is hosted by Austin Duncan, the Pastor of College Ministry at GCC.
In the video, you will answers to questions about unicorns in the Bible, his personal testimony and baptism, the godly influence of his parents, what books he is reading, the reason Jesus wasn’t baptized until he was 30, baptizing children, the mode of baptism, loving grandchildren, the relationship between prayer and evangelism, finding the right person to marry, his wife Patricia, challenges in leadership and ministry, his future ministry as pastor or retirement, etc.
