Twelve Days of Christmas Songs – Jars of Clay’s “Little Drummer Boy”

This is the second to last day of the Twelve Days of Christmas songs.

Today’s feature song is the most underrated Christmas song – in my opinion. “The Little Drummer Boy” probably gets more “sighs” and “errrr’s” than most songs and the “pa-rump-pump-pum-pum”
that go on forever seem to annoy the casual Christmas song fan.

But the message of a young child present and giving his best to the king – even though there is nothing spectacular about it – is a symbol of us all giving God as much glory as we can despite our insignificant ability to play our own drums and give something of worth to our King.
